Many SAP consultants are familiar with this: jumping from project to project, only ever completing individual tasks without seeing the whole process. Decisions are made by others, and one's own work remains invisible. But SAP consulting doesn't have to be this way. Modern consulting firms like Noor Vision demonstrate that freedom, responsibility, and real influence are possible in everyday work.

Seeing the results of one's own work and feeling like one can truly make a difference – this is a desire most of us share. However, in traditional SAP consulting, everyday life often looks quite different, as one experienced SAP consultant explains: "In my first years in SAP consulting, body leasing was the norm. You were booked for a project phase, sat on-site at the client's location, and worked on tasks without having a grasp of the bigger picture. As soon as one project phase was completed, you were already off to the next assignment."„

This leads to many consultants never experiencing the actual go-live of their projects. Decisions are made elsewhere, often far removed from the actual events. Those who work this way know the feeling of being just a small cog in the machine – instead of truly shaping the process and making a difference with their own ideas.

SAP consulting has so much to offer for people who want to shape the future. A small process adjustment can make a big difference – noticeably impacting the daily work of clients. Seeing the results of this work, witnessing when processes suddenly run faster, more transparently, or more efficiently – that's what makes this profession so special. But to achieve this, you have to be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, take on responsibility, and remain a partner to the client even after the go-live.

„The ‚normal‘ SAP consulting soon wasn’t right for me anymore. I always enjoyed the work itself, but I needed a change,“ the consultant recalls. „I wanted to be involved in projects from start to finish, instead of just working through sections. It was during this time that I became aware of Noor Vision – and I felt that consulting was approached differently here.“

It's time for a new approach.

Noor Vision was founded in 2019 and specializes in supply chain processes, SAP EWM, and the SAP Public Cloud. The growing team of over 30 SAP experts is internationally based and has always been committed to managing SAP projects from start to finish. "Even the onboarding process showed me that things are done very differently here. I immediately had access to exciting projects, was able to contribute my ideas, and got the impression that I could really make a difference."„

This became particularly evident in one of his first projects. Instead of just taking on a single task, he was involved from the analysis phase through to go-live and in the subsequent hypercare phase. "A small adjustment to the picking process meant that our client's warehouse team saved noticeable time every day. I could see directly how our decision made their daily work easier – and that motivated me." This is how Noor Vision understands end-to-end consulting: not just delivering, but taking responsibility and making the impact visible.

Freedom, team spirit and genuine development

Besides being responsible for making important decisions within a project, responsibility at Noor Vision also means genuine freedom of choice – regarding how you work and how you structure your daily life. But freedom doesn't mean being on your own. Remote-first work, flexible hours, and the opportunity to support innovative projects directly at client sites are standard practice here. "I can organize my daily life in a way that suits me – and still know that I have support available at any time," he explains. Weekly check-in calls, spontaneous sparring sessions in chat, and joint reviews ensure that no one faces problems alone. "Our team spirit develops not despite, but precisely because of this flexibility – and is even more palpable at meetings like the recent ones in Malta and Cyprus."„

His career also progressed rapidly. Taking on responsibility wasn't just a buzzword here, but a reality. "After just a few months, I was allowed to prepare architectural decisions and discuss them directly with the client," he says. Supported by mentoring and close collaboration within the team, he was able to progress from consultant to solution architect. "My career at Noor Vision developed quickly and naturally with my growing project experience – precisely because my performance and ideas were recognized."„

SAP consulting can be done differently.

Noor Vision thus clearly demonstrates how significant the difference can be in the broad field of SAP consulting: moving away from mere staff leasing and the completion of individual tasks, towards projects where consultants are involved from start to finish. Instead of simply being busy, this fosters the feeling of truly making a difference – for the clients, the team, and one's own development. Responsibility, autonomy, and team spirit characterize daily work and show that SAP consulting can function differently.
